Subterranean orhids..........

There is an orchid (Rhizanthella) that grows entirely
underground. During the dry season, cracks in the soil
expose the flowers, but even they do not ascend above
the soil surface. Obviously there are mycorrhizae at
work here, but what I want to know is; do these plants
photosynthesize, if so how, and if not what does the 
fungus get out of the deal? Are these considered
parasitic plants? Saprophytic plants? How are they
pollinated? Does anyone grow them? Curious..........
