Oregon White truffle (Tuber gibbosum Harkn.) has been reported from
extreme southeastern Alaska in the Tsongass National Forest. There are
probably other species found in Alaska. But without verified collections,
this is conjecture, not fact. Truffles in Alaska might be found with:
willow, cottonwood, aspen, spruce, fir, larch, alder; in short, anything
perennial.
