A postdoctoral position is available to study mechanisms by which
medically-important fungi (eg, Candida albicans and Cryptococcus
neoformans) regulate intracellular levels of acyclic polyols (eg,
glycerol, D-arabinitol or mannitol).  Recent Ph.D.'s in biochemistry,
molecular biology, microbiology or related fields are encouraged to
apply.  Familiarity with molecular biology techniques is essential, and
experience with yeast and/or membrane biochemistry is desirable.
