Postdoctoral position

A postdoctoral position will become available in the fall to examine the
role of fungal pheromones in regulating appressorium formation in the rice
blast fungus, Magnaporthe grisea.  See the May 16 issue of Science
276:1116-1119 for background.  The project will deal with molecular genetic
characterization of the phenomenon and the assessment of pheromones for
disease control.
