We are doing studies with Alternaria alternata antigen--Alt a 1. I need =
to have as much info as possible on this--I have a limited library. Any =
resources for this on Internet? Is it found in spores and hyphae? How =
can it be extracted from the cells and how long does it take? How long =
does it survive in the mold? How does it effect humans?
Also, I need to know techniques for harvesting this antigen from the =
mold cultures on plates. Best nutrient for antigen production? We're =
using mechanical means--swabs, glass rods. Is there a better method? =
Do we need to take all of the colony?? (i.e. the mold in the agar?)=20
Thanks! Mycology Maggi
