In most of my observations, morel growth, under favorable conditions, averages
close to one inch (2.5 cm) in height per day... perhaps a better observation is
that they seem to double in MASS in about five days.
It is nice to have patches I can check so regularly; it is exciting to see the
white "M. deliciosa" form when they are less than 1cm tall... I have even been
known to water them, when practical... seriously!
