FYI,  withe idea of making life a little easier, we have available a
lactophenol cotton blue stain with an incorporated plasticizer called MycoPerm.
 It works exactly like regular LCB stain, except when it dries, the plastic
solidifies and permanently embeds the fungus under the coverslip, thus making a
permanent specimen for further study of teaching purposes.
