There is a awful dearth of postings in bionet.mycology at the
moment. I know August is a bad month for carpophores (at least
here in the UK), but has the silence anything to do with the
Western USA forest fires?
BTW it would be interesting for non-Americans to know what percentage
of the forests have been destroyed in the stricken areas. Our news
quotes about 1 million acres, but that on its own is not very
meaningful, dreadful as it is.
I hope that none of the usual posters have been injured by the fires.
