Questions on Secondary metabolites

Hi, I am currently working on nematophagous fungi. It is my intension to 
Extract and identify what is belived as secondary metabolites.
Does anyone know of a good method in which these kind of chemical
molecules can be extracted? 

Except for conventional chemical analysis, are there any other methods
in identifying such chemical molecule?
