Foray - Saturday, January 6, 2001 to Fawn creek Road, Little North
Santiam (Linn or Marion County, Oregon). Meet at Benton center, 635 NW
7th, Corvallis, OR at 9:00 Am. For those in the Salem and north areas,
meet at Salmon Falls Park, milepost 12, at 10:30 AM. From Salem, take Hwy
22 east to North Fork Road (a.k.a. Elkton Rd). Turn left, (look for Swiss
Village restaurant). Go up this road to Salmon Falls Park. Dress ofr the
weather and bring a lunch.
	If the weather is snowy, or snow level is below 2500', there will be
an alternate site. Out of town people should email Matt Trappe on the 5th
at: trappem at usc.orst.edu, or phone 541-758-6104, or just meet at Benton
Center at 9:00 AM on the 6th.

	Tuesday, Janaury 9, 2001, 7:30 PM, Large Conference Room, FSL, 3200
Jefferson Way, Corvallis, OR. Guest speaker will be CHarles LeFevre, NATS
president. He will talk on: "The Status of Truffle Cultivation: a Global
Perspective." The talk is based on a paper presented by CHarlie at the
Fifth International Congress on Hazelnuts in Corvallis, August 2000. For
