Foray: The June, 2001 North American Truffling Society (NATS) forage
will be Saturday, June 2, 2001 to Lake Hebo in the Coast Range
(Oregon). Meet at Benton Center, 635 NW 7th, Corvallis, OR at 9:00
a.m. or at the Hebo Ranger Station, Hebo, OR at 10:45 a.m. This is a
beautiful area to explore! Bring a lunch, water, dress for the
weather. Hebo is on Hwy 22, Tillamook County. For more information,

Meeting: Tuesday, June 5, 2001, 7:30 p.m., Large COnference Room, FSL,
3200 Jefferson Way, Corvallis, OR. Guest speaker is Katherine Jacobs,
graduate student in the Dept. of Forest Science. Kathy's talk will be:
"Response of Small Mammal Mycophagy to Varying Patterns and Levels of
Green-tree Retention in Mature Forests of Oregon and Washington." She
will be introducing many truffle genera with spore characters found in
small mammal feces.
