Moroccan truffles: what species?

Just received a package of truffle from Morocco for experimentation
and examination. Truffles have external veins over an off-white
peridium with some grayish areas present. I'd describe them more as
"dirty white" than gray.

The aroma is fragrant and somewhat of beer (sorry, can't tell you
_which_ beer, since I can't have much beer anymore).

Has anyone heard of truffle from Morocco? What species might they be?
Could these be a form of Terfezia? Or are they more likely
Lespaultinia?
