POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN MOLECULAR PLANT PATHOLOGY

A postdoctoral position, funded by the NSF Plant Genome Program and the Ohio
Soybean Council, is available immediately to participate in an
interdisciplinary project that aims at identifying and characterizing genes
expressed during infection and colonization of soybean by the oomycete
pathogen Phytophthora sojae. The research will be conducted in the
laboratory of Anne Dorrance at the Ohio Agricultural Research and
Development Center of the Ohio State University, with access to state of the
art service facilities. This project is a joint collaboration with the
laboratories of Sophien Kamoun at Ohio State University and Brett Tyler at
the Virginia Bioinformatics Institute.

Applicants must have a background in molecular genetics, molecular biology,
or a related field, and an excellent publication record.   Applicants with
experience in fungal/oomycete transformation systems are highly encouraged
to apply.  Experience with plant biology or molecular plant pathology is
