This has been a bumper year for Boletus edulis in the northeast of
England. Over the weekend we collected nearly 5 kilos, and then my
wife went out today with a friend and got another 20 kilos. There
have also been a good crop of interesting things to identify and to
sample. I suppose this is the advantage of a cool rainy summer!
