pdya will work on germination, there's also different types of agar medium thats specifically designed for ectomycorrhizal fungi, the medium is basically pdya with micronutrients. i have found with most temperate species of ectomycorrhizal fungi indigenous to the pacific northwest, germination is best induced around 60-72f. liquid inoculation of the grain is the best technique for rapid colonization, and kept in complete darkness around 65-74f. if your looking to extend your understanding on mycorrhiza cultivation, look up "Mycorrhizal Symbiosis" a great book. good luck!
