Now I'm only a neurobiologist, not a neurologist or neurosurgeon, but don't
severed perip[heral nerves regenerate?? If so, isn't it a bit melodramatic
to say that his "severed nerves are dying by the day"? They might be
shriveling a little, but I think they'll come back.
The real problem, as far as I can tell, is getting them to reinnervate
their old targets. Does anyone know whether there's a treatment besides
time that will help this guy recover function of his arm?
