neuron-silicon interface?

	There was an article on my local newspaper a few days ago about implants of digitial circuitry into people who are blind in order to allow they to see.  I believe it was demonstrated in a limited case (i.e. she can only sense the   presence of light) in a neuro-sci conference...
	Anyone know more detail of this? Or should I go dig up the paper?
