Research Assistants Wanted for Cognitive Neuroscience and Brain Imaging Program
The Laboratory of Neuroscience in the National Institute on Aging in
Bethesda, MD, has two openings for research assistants. The focus of
the research is on the use of brain imaging techniques (positron
emission tomography, magnetic resonance imaging) and cognitive testing
to understand how aging and dementia affect the neuro-cognitive
networks that underlie behavior. Duties include participating in the
scanning and psychological testing procedures, assisting in research
design and implementation, scheduling of research subjects, management
of databases, use of image-processing software, and data analysis.
Computer experience with Macintosh and/or UNIX workstations and
knowledge of statistics would be preferable. Positions are full-time
and would be GS-7 to GS-11 depending on degree (B.A. or M.A.) and
