need info

Hi,

Could someone please email me references concerning the frequency  
relationship of stimulation and the resultant action potential, i.e. one  
neuron releasing neurotransmitters (quanta, may be thought of as pulse)  
which bind to the postsynaptic terminal of another neuron, what is the  
frequency relationship in order for the postsynaptic neuron to generate an  
action potential. Thank You.
