GC to GC connections in the dentate gyrus

I am seeking references (either electrophysiological or anatomical) that
provide evidence for direct connections between granule cells of the 
dentate gyrus (in other words direct granule cell to granule cell
connections).  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
