Tens unit masking circulation disorder?

Can a tens unit used to control pain mask a circulation disorder?

A friend of mine has a flesh tumor on her left arm that originated
from an impact injury. A second impact injury on this same location
has caused increasing pain with rapidly changing sensations of tingling,
burning, aching and throbbing in 2 to 5 locations on her left arm.

Whatever is wrong is getting worse. How can a circulation disorder be
tested and discovered? Perhaps the tens unit could also be used as
a diagnostic tool to discover a location of a circulation disorde?

Frequently this left arm feels "feverish" to her "hot" to me.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
