In Emerson et al. (1987), J. Neuroph. Vol. 58 pp. 33-65, the spatiotemporal
nonlinear interactions within complex cell receptive fields were investigated
by considering the additional information gained from paired-bar response
patterns over those obtained from single flashing bars.
They investigated the effects of both same-sign (light-light and dark-dark) and
opposite-sign (light-dark and dark-light) bar interactions.
Among the same-sign interactions, no data on the differences between responses
to light and dark stimuli were presented. Yet, the authors stated that they
would treat this topic in a future paper.
Has any of you had any news of this papers?
Any other reference on this or related topics is also welcome!
Thanks in advance
