One good source of information is the "Neuroscience Training Programs
of North America" put out by the Society for Neuroscience.
The Howard Hughes Medical Institute has research programs/funding for
medical students, MD post-docs in basic research and PhD funding
also. If anybody is interested send me some email and I'll give you
some leads.
