cortical transmitter release

Hi.

The probability of excitatory neurotransmitter release in the
hippocampus has been measured to range from 0.06 to 0.37 [Hessler N.A.
etal (1993) Nature 366:569-572].  Does anyone know what the range of
probabilies of excitatory release in the *neocortex* is?  Please
respond by email, as I don't read this newsgroup regularly.
