The last I head from people at this university (9 month old info) is
that NADPH-pos neurons were actually MORE sensitive to KA-induced
toxixity than the run-of-the-mill medium spiny cell in the striatum. I
won't be quoted, but I think the EC50 was around 1.5 or 2 milimolar
kainiate. I got this info at my proposal meeting, I dunno if it's made
it into print yet.
