Nausea and vestibular dysfunction

Certain toxins interfere with the vestibular information, leading to
dizziness/nausea associated with the lack of vestibular input.

BTW, this is also the main reason that you get dizzy when you drink alcohol.
Alcohol diffuses at differing rates throughout the body -- in the vestibular
organs -- which leads to an overreactive vestibular sense, and hence the
typical dizziness associated with heavy drinking.
