electrode coatings

I am looking for a coating that will reduce the friction/adhesion of an
electrode to brain tissue
as it is driven deep into the brain. I seem to recall something about a
hydrophobic material that
would help an electrode slide through the brain. Any ideas are welcome. I
have thought of trying
something really simple: coating the electrode with medical grade, low
viscosity silicon oil. Reply
either by e-mail or post here. Thanks.
