NT-3 gene

Help! The coding sequence of the neurotrophin-3 gene is supposed to be
in one exon. Is there actually another untranslated 5' exon? If so, is
this conserved among mammals as well? Where can I get the sequences
(I've tried the databases and I don't think they are there)? If that 5'
exon exists, is conserved among mammals and the sequences are available,
that will really help me a lot to design a new set of primers for my
RT-PCR and easily rule out genomic DNA contamination. I don't want to
DNAse treat my RNA samples as it makes my RNA more prone to degradation.
