A NEW MEDICAL CD-ROM

containing two different tutorials:
	1. Neuromuscular Disorders. These interactive multimedia guides 
present the INFLAMMATORY MYOPATHIES and MUSCULAR DYSTROPHIES  in the 
context of inheritance, clinical manifestations, pathophysiology, 
pathology, electrophysiology and treatment. An up-to-date review of the 
literature (until May 1994) is included with VIDEOS of patients showing 
major clinical signs and classic EMG features (in real time!). Texts, 
illustrations, videos and audios all combine to provide a complete 
picture of the diseases.
	2. EEG. This interactive program is an introduction to the 
interpretation of normal and pathological EEGs.

These teaching tools have been developed by GREMI, a research unit in 
medical education from the University of Montreal, Canada, composed of 
neurologists and their research team. They provide information to pre-med 
students as well as interns and residents. We believe they will also be 
helpful to practising physicians, whether they are generalists or 
specialists. The products have been developed for Macintosh, but Windows 
version are currently being prepared.
