Hi Lely, you should look at Progress in Brain Research vol. 103, 1994. 
They have one section devoted to axonal outgrowth and pathfinding.  One
article in paticular, by Letourneau, Snow and Gomez (p.85-98) has a nice
diagram on p. 87 that summarizes the role of calcium.
