Dear Andy: There is a new book that tells how to prevent Alzheimers and
it has already been nominated for a Pulitzer. Its called DEFENSE AGAINST
ALZHEIMERS DISEASE by Dr. H. J. Roberts (1 800 -814-9800). The most
important thing to remember is to avoid anything with aspartame marketed
as NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc. This is discussed in the book. The
two amino acids in NutraSweet, phenylalanine and aspartic acid, are
neurotoxic without the other amino acids in protein and go past the blood
brain barrier and deteriorate the neurons of the brain. Thats why
Alzheimers, a 20th century disease, is escalating so fast. One hospice
nurse said 30 year old women are now being admitted with Alzheimers.
The most common symptom of aspartame is memory loss! Be warned.
The book also tells you other products to avoid. Hope this helps.
