There are two articles by W Wasco, R Tanzi and a few others that
appeared recently in Science. Basically, the genes for early onset
Alzheimer's (on Chrom 14 and 1) have been found. It accounts for a
sizable portion of all known Alzheimer's.
Anyway, some details about that discovery are in
http://www.gene.com/ae/WN/SU/index.html
As to Alzheimer itself, the best place is probably the Alzheimer's
Association's page itself, http://www.alz.org/
A good page, with a lot of pointers is
http://www.uni-hohenheim.de/~rebhan/index.html
And finally, http://www.america.net/cs/alz/atlalz.html
contains the page for the Atlanta chapter of the Alzheimer's Association
Cruise and enjoy.
