A friend of ours is planning to adopt a baby who is miroencephalic. Her head is
in the bottom 5th percentile in terms of size. SHe is 2 1/2 years old and is
devlopmentally appropriate for her age. she has a good vocabulary and good
motor
skills. what could the future hold for her. could she continue to develop
normally? could problems be expected?

no cause has been found. her mother was a substance abuser. she is small as a
whole as well she is in the bottome 35th percentile as a whole size wise.

an nmri taken at a very early age showed normal.
