A conference on Vestibular Adaptation will be held on May 23-25, 1996 in Santa
Monica. It is sponsored by the Office of Continuing Medical Education, UCLA
School of Medicine and the Victor Goodhill Ear Center, Division of Head and
Neck Surgery at UCLA. The purpose of this two and a half day conference is to
develop the scientific foundations of vestibular adaptation, defined as
changes inthe physiological properties of neurons and reflexes during
development, modification to the environment or from lesions of the various
components. The meeting will cover issues of vestibular adaptation, ranging
from fundamental concepts of neuroscience to specific clinical applications.
