HELP!! culturing truncated adult rat spinal chords

If you, or anyone you know, has any experience with or knowledge of 
tissue culture of truncated adult rat spinal chords please e-mail me.

The basic plan is to remove a section of rat spinal chord and see if it 
ca be cultured as a "tissue" in vitro.
