Hi!

I need some medical advise on a 10 year old girl who has been suffering
with tuberous sclerosis for the last three years. Currently, her
behavior disorder has been the biggest problem for her parents.
Doctors in India suggested that behavior disorder could be the result
of tuberous sclerosis.

Following is a brief summary of the patient’s medical history.

She is a 10 year old girl living in India and has had seizures since
August 1993 occurring once a week. There is also history of
pseudoseizures occurring several times a day whenever there was a sense
of frustration. She also has had a history of behavior disorder
characterized by attention seeking attitude, demanding, temper
tantrums, manipulative (intimidating suicide etc.) with hyperactivity.

Doctors in India have advised small doses of Rx. Haloperidol to control
seizures and psychotherapy to control behavioral disorder. Digital EEG
reports show evidence of epileptogenic dysfunction of left central
region with secondary bilateral synchrony. The MRI report suggests
tuberous sclerosis but no evidence of cortical tubers. The CT brain
scan report suggests tuberous sclerosis and calcified granulomata.

These are questions to which I am requesting answers

1.)	Doctors in India advised that the behavior therapy for these
kinds of problems are available in this country, if so could you please
suggest any psychiatrists who would treat such patients.

2.)	Are there any other medical solutions for this patient’s
problems.
