An NSF funded postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr.
George Mower at the University of Louisville School of Medicine to study
genetic mechanisms of the critical period in visual cortex. Current
studies include analyses of immediate early genes, synthetic enzymes for
neurotransmitters, subunit composition of neurotransmitter receptors, and
identification of effector genes for visual cortical plastcicity. Salary
is competetive. Extensive facilities and expertise are available in an
interdepartmental program in development and molecular neurobiology.
