The following article which originally appeared in the Journal of
Psychoeducational Assessment, ADHD Special, 1995, pp 143-160,
has been reproduced as a web page.

"Quantitative EEG and Auditory Event-Related Potentials
in the Evaluation of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder:
   Effects of Methylphenidate and
   Implications for Neurofeedback Training"

   J. F. Lubar, M.O. Swartwood, J.N. Swartwood, D.L. Timmerman
		University of Tennessee

This is actually 4 empirical studies reported in the same article. A
succinct statement of the conclusion is, "these studies support a
neurologic basis for ADD/HD and raise questions regarding the role of
methylphenidate in modulating cortical processing."
