cell contamination

I`m a doctorate student. I`m going towork with novel cervical cancer
cells lines, I want to study  the state of some cellular genes. But
there is a strong suspicion that this lines cells are contaminated with
HeLa cells. How can I probe this possible contamination?. I don`t know
any specific characteristic of HeLa that could help me.
