MOLECULAR GENETICIST/DEVELOPMENTAL BIOLOGIST
DEPARTMENT OF BIOLOGY, MCGILL UNIVERSITY
The Department of Biology at McGill University invites
applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor
level. Preference will be given to candidates whose research
addresses fundamental problems in cell and developmental
biology using a genetically well characterized system. The
successful applicant will join a large and dynamic department
with research strengths in cellular, molecular and developmental
biology, ecology, evolution and neurobiology, with extensive
affiliations with the Faculty of Medicine and local research
institutes. Applicants should hold the Ph.D. degree in biological
sciences and have demonstrated research proficiency through
postdoctoral training. Duties will involve the development of a
vigorous research program and teaching at the undergraduate and
graduate level. The expected start date is July 1, 1998. The
deadline for applications is December 15, 1997, but applications
will continue to be considered until the position is filled.
