Yeah, besides that recommended,alcohol might help too.
these autofluorescent substances (flavins, etc) usually go away in alcohol
bath. I would incubate sections in 50 or 70% alc for a 20-30 min prior any
treatment. Methanol could be even better but it is bad stuff. Alcohol
typically does not harm immunoreactivity.
