Axonal Protein Synthesis ?

Yep, that was the title of a lecture by someone on VU university here
in the Netherlands.
Unfortunately I could not attend this lecture.
It sounds almost like heresy to claim some protein synthesis outside
the neuron's soma.
But maybe I'm not up to date.
Has anyone recent findings about this subject?
