There is a specific ACh neurotoxin called ethylcholine mustard
aziridinium (AF64A). It supposedly selectively destroys cholinergic
transmission (tergets choline acetyltransferase) . Not a direct effect
on the cell bodies, but physiologically the same result, if you are
trying to reduce or eliminate cholinergic activity. Direct micro
injection of excitatory AAs (kainic, quisqualate, NMDA etc.) into
cholinergig rich areas (non-selectivley) destroys perikarya.
