Williams College welcomes applications for the Essel Postdoctoral Research
Fellow position in Neuroscience. For the past seven years, the Neuroscience
Program at Williams has been the recipient of an Essel Foundation grant to
encourage talented undergraduate students to pursue careers in
neuroscience. An integral part of the grant is the Essel Fellowship. The
role of the Fellow is to work with undergraduate students in conducting
research projects and to assume responsibility for teaching the laboratory
portion of the introduction to neuroscience course (taught one semester
each year). Approximately 50% of the Fellow's time is reserved for their
own research for which some research funds are available. In addition, this
fall the neuroscience program will move into a new facility, providing
excellent research space for the Fellow. Candidates must have a recent
Ph.D. in neuroscience or a related field. This is a one-year term position
renewable for up to four additional years. Job #1407-X
