1. "Engineer Wanted Photos of Columbia Damage", By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

2. "Spy Agency Agrees With NASA to Take Shuttle Photos", By WARREN E. LEARY

Quoting from the New York Times Article:

"`This is no longer, and will not be, a formal notification process,' he said. `If at anytime they can take images, we will take them.`"

Get it?

 "1., 2., 1., 2., ..."

"Problem, resolution, Problem, resolution, ..."

1. "Giving Iraqis a Lifeline", By NICHOLAS D. KRISTOF

2. ...?

That is, can folks learn to listen to folks who 'sound the alarm', or will folks 'learn' only the 'hard way', from Tragic events, pointed to before-the-fact of their occurring by folks who take their Professional Responsibilities seriously, left to inflict their Tragic stuff upon folks because folks 'blindly' and automatically 'opted' to achieve TD E/I-minimization by 'moving away from' doing the work inherent in responding to the timely 'warnings' provided by those who take their Professional Responsibilities seriously?

Timely Insight is a Gift of great-worth.

Why waste such?

Here's an example of how that which merely becomes familiar, through long experience, simultaneously tends, strongly, to become 'invisible' within volition because of the way that nervous systems process information via 'blindly'-automated TD E/I-minimization.
"Foam Risk Was Studied Before Fatal Flight", By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

"But the specialists defended the space agency's work, saying the foam was applied with proven craftsmanship by "experienced practitioners" with 20 years' experience. They also noted that the application process for that part of the tank had not changed since 1993. There were, they added, just a handful of foam problems near the bipod area on more than 100 fuel tanks that had flown into space. The risk of foam's breaking off in that area was "no higher/no lower" than previous flights, the investigators said."

  The Coward's 'way'.
I've deliberately selected this 'hard' nomenclature in order to 'counteract' the 'invisibility' of the consequences of folks' being 'asleep' with respect to the consequences inherent in 'blindly'-automated TD E/I-minimization. Everyone comprehends that "Cowardice" is 'reprehensible'. I've been, and will continue, working to demonstrate the greater 'reprehensibility' of folks 'moving away from', via 'blindly'-automated "volitional diminishing-returns decisions" [AoK, Ap7], the work inherent in acertaining Truth.
It's not my purpose to 'condemn' folks. My purpose is just the opposite - to lift folks up out of what is a Dangerous cognitive 'sleep'.
It's 'just' that, largely as a result of 'globalization' and creeping experience that 'blindly' and automatically accompanies globalization 'parasitically', with respect to all that's entailed in ever-more-technologically-advanced weaponry, populations-wide TD E.I has been net-augmenting around the world since the end of WW II - the consequences inherent in folks' being 'asleep' with respect to the consequences inherent in 'blindly'-automated TD E/I-minimization in 'volition' [good name for it: "involition"] are also acceleratingly-augmenting.

So, the Coward's 'way' with respect to volition is becoming acceleratingly-less-conducive the the Survival of Humanity.

I'm working to induce folks to 'wake-up' before things go amygdalar [AoK, Ap5] across Humanity.

The Coward's 'way' is, fundamentally, a 'fear' of doing the work inherent in achieving TD E/I-minimization. The Coward's 'way' takes TD E/I-minimization 'short-cuts', Gambling that things'll 'magically' 'work out all right'.

Then Truth happens, as it did in the case of the Space Shuttle - the Lives of seven fine Men and Women were 'blindly' and automatically evaluated by nervous systems taking the Coward's 'way' to be 'worth less' than the work inherent in acertaining Truth.

  Forgive me, please, for saying-it-plain.

The article also provides a counter example:

"A spokeswoman at the Hemphill search camp, Diane Drobka, said Captain Behnken had told the group: `Remember that there are 5,000 people working in this search, and they are all equally important. Maybe your luck will rub off on others. Every single inch of ground, no matter what we find, is important.`"

[Quotes above © 2003, by The Associated Press and The New York Times.]

Clearly, Captain Behnken's experience has imbued him with the capacity to 'move away from' the Coward's 'way'.

  None of this costs 'money'.

All it 'costs' is 'waking-up' to actually Live.

  What's so 'fearful' about that?

Being Alive is Fun - literally, because of the functionality of the biological reward mechanisms that exist right within us.

Why not take all the 'competitiveness', through which folks 'normally' trash one another, thwarting each others' endeavors, and "invert" it [AoK, Ap4] into 'competing' to be Courageous with respect to the work inherent in ascertaining Truth?

Stuff 'in the middle' that 'thwarts' such derives in the way folks 'move toward' 'self' by ganging-up upon anyone, and anything, that 'rocks the boat' of 'familiarity' [this, 'two', via still more 'blindly'-automated TD E/I-minimization].

So, yes, I do use deliberately-'hard' nomenclature, but all that's in-it is the need to 'break-through' folks' 'asleep-ness'.

  I mean no 'offense'.

  I mean just-the-opposite stuff.

You know - "shock and awe" without the bullets.
