Can a haircut cause brain damage?

I've always thought there's a basis for believing re. Samson's loss after
having his hair cut. His religious beliefs held that having long hair was an
act of devotion to God; an act for the sake of being Kosher, in alignment
with the instructions/commandments of God. From a scientific view, the loss
of his hair would create a massive level of psychic dissonance between his
current state and the condition in which he believed his God would channel
strength through him. This psychic dissonance could easily manifest itself
as an inability to exert his strength - as he believed it, so it became.
