Good books on biological approach on machine vision problem

Hi,
I am much interested in the biological approach on machine vision problem.
I believe that we can implement human like machine vision system based on the
understanding about how man sees the world.

Could you recommend me good books which describes the mechanismm, in biological
and psychological view point, how we see the world and/or explains the 
mechanism using mathematical tools.
