DL: Whilst operant technology is integral to a
lot of work in neuroscience, many in neuroscience have a very poor grasp
of it. When this is pointed out, many tend to get upset, feeling that
they're being insulted etc.

GS: Careful, David, Dr. D. will resemble that remark. Incidentally, I am
offering a rough description of a behavioristic explanation of Spoonerisms
elsewhere. It would be instructive to do so with many Norm Crosbyisms.
