I am a novice in Neuroscience. I have been reading on neuroimaging for the
past few months and I notice that researchers pay a lot of attention to what
happens on the surface of the brain, and make conclusions and comparisons
(between individuals) based on that. They do not seem to pay attention to
any activity beneath the surface. Why is this so? How are they justified?
