and truth-functionalism can be not just a lofty ideal, but a guide to
understanding and experimentally investigating not only the behaviour of
adaptation and learning, but the neurophysiology and neurochemistry also..
possibly at the level of Aplysia (do they have opioid peptides systems?),
definitley at the level of rats.
